5th Annual SVC Duck Race
Come and support SVC’s biggest fundraiser on the 6th May 2016!
Watch brightly decorated plastic ducks take to the water in a highly contested race along the feeder canal in Bute Park! Ducks can be sponsored for £2 each, or three for £5 (£1.50 for a pre-decorated duck), and can be bought in advance directly from the SVC office (5 Museum Place, CF10 3BD), or via our just giving page (https://localgiving.org/duckrace). Don’t worry if you can’t attend on the day, or collect pre-bought ducks as we’ll race them for you and let you know If you win!
Alternatively, if you want get your ducks psyched up on race day, we will be selling ducks in the park from 12pm, with pens available for some last-minute decorating!
The race will kick off at 1pm at the bridge by the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Prizes will be awarded for the ‘best duckorated’ as well as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers! With prizes including a pair of tickets for a free climbing session at Boulders, a classic cream tea from Pettigrew Tea Rooms, and lots of wine (with more to be revealed soon), you won’t want to miss out!
All money raised will help to support our projects helping vulnerable children and adults in Cardiff and the surrounding area.
This event has got bigger and better each year, so come along for a fun, family-friendly, quacktastic afternoon out, while supporting your local charity!
