Being a trustee is an incredible priviledge. It's an opportunity to contribute to fantastic volunteering work while helping to promote, make decisions and run events for SVC.
Being on the board means attenidng board meetings and thinking about big picture ideas for the chairty as a whole, as well as practically helping with the running of events, projects, fundraisers, social media etc. There are loads of different roles including secretary, general trustee, communications and marketing, events and fundraising and others, so whatever your skill set, there's are role for you.
For students, this is excellent work experience and will give you experience of working on a board, making decisions, marketing and organisation, as well as key leadership and communication experience. These roles are incredible CV boosters!
Contributing to SVC in this way is a fantastic experience and not only do you gain so much from it, you get to give back to your community and make sure that SVC is contributing as much as possible to the community and our beneficiaries.
