This year again, SVC will be celebrating Student Volunteering Week with lots of different events throughout the week - from school makeovers to club nights and party for the elderly, there's somthing for everyone!
Monday 20th February - 10am-4pm
Primary School Makeover
Join us for a makeover at Stacey Primary School!
It's a great opportunity to get creative and to make the school look prettier and refreshed - a nice surprise for the kids when they go back to school after half-term!
We'll be there for the whole day, if you're free for the day, or only able to spare a few hours then please get in touch to sign-up.
Make sure you wear appropriate clothing as some of the work might take place outside. Keep in mind that you might also get covered in paint!
This event is in partnership with Cardiff Volunteering (CV).
Tuesday 21st February - 10am-4pm - FULL
Nightingale House Hospice Makeover
Nightingale House is a hostel that provides a temporary and welcoming home for families that need support. Volunteers will be getting creative and spruce up the communal areas, making it fun for the children to look at!
We'll be there for the whole day, if you're free for the day, or only able to spare a few hours then please let us know.

Learning Disability Workshop
This is a Learning Disability training run by adults who have learning disabilities themselves. This will be a really great insight into what is the best way to support people with disabilities.

Club Night with adults with disabilities
This is one of our most popular events, specially open to all volunteers for Student Volunteering Week!
Womanby's Club Night is a night for adults with disabilities and/or mental health conditions. The project takes place at the Full Moon Club on Womanby Street, a perfect location for mingling with fellow service users and hitting the dancefloor with the volunteers.
The club night offers a friendly and secure environment for people with mental health conditions and disabilities to let their hair down!
Thursday 23rd February - 12.30-3.30pm - FULL
Afternoon Tea for the elderly
This year again we will be running our popular Afternoon Tea for the Elderly!
An afternoon of eating cake and sipping tea with the golden oldies in our area. If you like a good old natter, a cuppa and cake - then this is the event for you!
