At SVC we love any excuse to get together and raise some money for our fantastic projects. Our fundraising allows us to continue with our mission, to support some of the most vulnerable individuals in our community from the homeless and elderly to those with mental health conditions and learning disabilities. Last week was no different! Two of our fabulous members of the board, Kelly and Sophie, organised a quiz night that was open to all.
Our first quiz of the year was held at the Virgin Money Lounge in Cardiff, a lovely venue that’s free of charge for local charities registered with Virgin Money Giving. For refreshments, a charity bar was run by Sophie, with all proceeds going to SVC. We also hosted a raffle and considering the low price of our tickets, we had a plethora of amazing prizes to be won that were kindly donated from local companies. Our tickets at only £4, each come with a raffle ticket. The entry ticket raffle prize was a generous £50 voucher gifted from Experience Days!
For our 1st place prize in the quiz, a lovely bottle of prosecco was gifted from Innovate Trust! With a massive thank you to all the local companies that donated prizes, our raffle ticket winners went home with:
- 2 New Theatre tickets for selected shows
- 2 Glee Club tickets to any Friday or Saturday evening show
- 2 Great Western Railway standard anytime train tickets
- An 80-minute Boulders rock climbing class for 2
- 2 tickets to play any game at Escape Rooms Cardiff, Monday to Thursday
- £20 gift voucher for Urbasba
- A gift bag of KMS hair products
- A hamper full of goodies from NatWest

After a successful night, all of us at SVC would like to thank everyone who attended for their donations! We raised an amazing £452.50!
