Hi! My name is Ella and I am the Communications and Marketing Officer for Student Volunteering Cardiff this year.
I am a final year English Literature and Religious Studies student, and this is the first year that I’ve been involved in SVC.
My role involves running the blog, posting on social media, promoting events and coming up with marketing strategies to try and get more people involved in all the amazing work SVC does. The past few months I’ve been so in awe of all our volunteers and how hard they work, and the incredible difference they make to so many people’s lives. SVC does some really incredible stuff in our community.
This year I’m also trying to set up SVC’s first comms and marketing committee, and have some really great and dedicated students on board to help me come up with ideas, keep our social media active and reach more students and members of the community than we’ve been able to before.
Being on the board is a fantastic experience, I’ve learnt so much and everyone is so friendly and hardworking, plus our board meetings generally have some great snack options. I’m particularly excited for the ball, this year’s is going to be the best yet!
