Volunteer Experience of The Month - December

Our December Volunteer Experience of the Month post comes from Michelle Kellaway, a volunteer with Amelia Trust Farm. Read below to see what Michelle has to say about the project:  > “Volunteering with the Amelia Trust Farm through SVC has given me the opportunity to take part in activities I never thought I could do. This year we have helped service-users coppice willow, make beautiful Christmas wreaths, wooden reindeer and other decorations. Together we have used a variety of tools and skills and supported Al and Alistair to ensure the project runs smoothly. One of the most rewarding parts about volunteering is the enthusiasm the service-users show about seeing myself and the other volunteers. Before leaving, they always ask “are you coming next week?” After Christmas we are looking forward to planting a whole host of fruit and veg, building bird boxes and cultivating honey from the bees.”
