I started volunteering with SVC in 2012 when I joined Cardiff University, and over 10 years later I'm delighted to still be part of this brilliant charity!
Right now I work at the University of Bristol as a researcher, and finished my PhD in data science for mental health in 2022. I'm trained as a Family Social Worker and worked for a few years in a Child Protection team in London before I did my PhD.
At SVC I've had lots of different roles - volunteering on a befriending project, being a Lead Volunteer for the Amelia Trust Farm, then on the Board of Trustees as Communications Officer, and more recently a general trustee. I'm now supporting SVC as an Associate Trustee where I'll continue to help to develop the charity's data and digital approaches, and particuarly our recording/use of EDI data.
I love being a part of SVC and am always excited to see what we're doing next!
